Harvard Scientists Create Flexible Robot
But it may be soon, if a creation by Harvard scientists becomes widely used.
The Harvard crew has built a new type of robot -- one that is much more flexible than previous generations.
It's so flexible it can wiggle its way into and out of tight spaces.
The soft-bodied robots may eventually replace those made from metal.

It's expected that such soft robots can help get through cracks after an earthquake or navigate rough terrain on a battlefield.
